It won't play for me, but maybe the internet is staging another vendetta against Mac users or people out of the U.S. If anyone can view them, I'd love to get them downloaded and shoved in a zip file. I promise grand rewards, possibly including doctored photos of Goran (maybe?). |

Vids from old and current cast. I particularly enjoy Noah Wyle saying that ER was the most defining job of each of their lives. You know, except for Stamos and Clooney and Mariska Hargitay and Angela Bassett and Mekhi and Scott Grimes and all those other people who had successes separate from ER... |

Yeah, I have a mac, am not in the US and had trouble playing them. They wouldn't work in Safari but they worked fine in Firefox...

I got them to play; some odd choices of clip - Luka and Pratt in "Time of Death"? Why?

Pandorama wrote:I slightly disagree. I mean, year def not Stamos and Mariska Hargitay, Full House and SVU respectively were much bigger deals for them. But ER really shot Clooney into the stratosphere of movie business, so who knows what would have become of him without it. I know Angela Bassett is supposedly a big name (I personally don't know anything else she's been in) but I always thought her coming to the show in its final season was kind of stunt casting. Mekhi did have some other movie fame, but I think ER was a large gig for him too. As for Scott Grimes, what has he been in beside ER? Maybe I'm just out of the loop. But for so manny other people (Anthony Edwards, Sherry Stringfeld, Laura Innes, Alex Kingston, Eriq La Salle, Julianna Margulies even though she'd hate to admit it) ER was a launching point for their career, or at least a very big gig for them. Not trying to pick a fight, just pleasantly disagreeing IMHO.

Here is a link to a NYTimes article with a photo that is described as the "final scene from the final episode."
http://www.nytimes.com/20...02watc.html?_r=1&hpw Azizal has posted lots of retrospective articles at the BP2 message board ER thread if you're interested. A few trivial observations of my own: There's a difference between a "defining role," which ER was for NW, and a "breakthrough role," which ER was for Clooney. Angela Bassett is probably best known for her role as Tina Turner in the film "What's Love Got to Do With It," for which she earned an Oscar nomination. (If only TPTB had taken Banfield to a kareoke bar and let her knock back a few and belt out a few, she would have been a better character.) Mrs. E: perhaps the Luka/Pratt clip from TOD (hey, that's German for "death," creepy) was included because it was one of the very few times doctors took their personal conflicts out into the hall and kept their voices down instead of acting out in the big middle of a trauma. I won't be doing chat tonight--and will probably not catch most of the finale except on hulu later--but I wish you all a good night. Hope the episode doesn't disappoint.

Will it dissapoint ? Certainly to many as much as it has pleased many. We as audience put a lot of expectation on the finale of any show we want so much in
that last hour that you are left feeling cheated most of the time. I personally have never liked 2 hr eppisodes they seem to drag on. Do I like Carter in the
final shot hell no! anyway …
I think is great every member of the first season cast came back and had the final bow, that tells you right there what an impotart stone is/was ER in the path of their carreer. To me it showed respect and appreciation to the Show, the Audience and the cast and crew. I will not do the chat or watch the ER Retrospective for schedule conflict but I will watch the show and cry my eyes out because Is a farewell to many things, the show, the board, the habit of Thursday night, the obsession of LUBY Its been a great ride! Thank you guys |

What I meant by defining was that, were a cast member walking down the street, what would a random person notice them for? I knew Mekhi from "O,"
"8 Mile," and generally for his abs. SG was a character on "Party of Five," I believe. My non-ER friends have noted Linda Cardellini for
her roles in "Scooby Do" and Freaks and Geeks" when they see her on "ER" ( when I have it on). The original cast, minus Clooney, will
forever be known for their roles, as will Goran, I think. While Maura was known from "NewsRadio" before "ER," people tend to remember her
for her long run on "ER." Even Parminder will forever be the girl from "Bend It Like Beckham."

The picture is a bit weird the whole hospital is waiting the mother of all traumas while Carter strikes a GQ pose in the corner??

Good thoughts guys. True, Linda Cardellini will always be the girl who broke up Cory and Topanga to me.

Well, it seems I won't be accessing the chatroom tonight due to firewall issues. Anyone up for a "especially for poor fools who aren't in the
US" pity chat tomorrow, when we're actually awake and have seen the episode?
