How about...Neela decides to be a single mother, since she doesn't quite need anyone and goes to a sperm bank?

New game question: Has the arrival of a cast member's sibling ever been good news for the character or for the audience?
Chloe, Eric, Leon, Gallant's sister, Niko . . . Is there a pattern here? |

Aimee, I think you just made part of my brain explode. The possibilities for crack fanfic are ENDLESS.

Well, it's been confirmed. Parminder is preggers. Let the crackfics begin.
CBB reports: Parminder adds that "there are no plans to write the pregnancy in the show," and although the series is drawing to a close in February she doesn't intend to take time off from acting.

Doubt she'd even be showing much by February - nothing a baggy T-shirt couldn't cope with anyway.

AOL interviewed NW about Carter's return. He claims he knows nothing about his story arc, but he did include this:
How would you like to see Carter's storyline finish? I think given the fact that the pilot episode for 'ER' was Dr. John Carter's first day on the job, there's a certain symmetry to him coming back in and ... running the emergency room. It has a nice sort of sense of closure and completion to it. But beyond that, I have no preferences. I'm just excited to see everyone again, and go in there and put on the white coat and help sail the ship into its sweet hereafter. |

It's official...
NBC announces the end of ER 05:14 PM PT, Dec 3 2008 The long-running medical drama "ER" will come to an end on March 12, NBC announced today. One of TV's most honored shows, "ER" has won 22 Emmys and has the most Emmy nominations of any other show on television. It will say goodbye with a two-hour episode. http://latimesblogs.latim...8/12/nbc-announces-t.html |

Question: What are you hearing about the final episodes of ER? -- Joel
Ausiello: I'm hearing they've found a way to tie all 600 seasons together. "How?" you ask. "With a very old man," I answer. The show is looking for an actor who's pushing 80 (In Hollywood? Good luck!) to play a mugging victim who, through a bajillion flashbacks, is revealed to have been behind the founding of County General's Emergency Room. |

James Garner??? He's still around. He does television. He hasn't done ER before.....which kicks out Ed Asner...unless they want to revisit HIS
character and tie him in. THAT might be interesting as he was the carthesis for some of Carter's trust issues. Damn.....I seriously need to be writing
this stuff.

He's responsible for the funding? So at the end they all turn on him and say "So it was your fault all along!"

After ER ends, NBC will fill the Thursday 10 p.m. slot (for those of us in the US anyway) with a show called "Kings."
If the linked promo material is any guide, it will be unspeakably bad. http://www.unnreports.com/news/ |

I'm glad TPTB are specifying "funding the Emergency room" because County General has been around far longer than 80 years....

Garner would be great. When I was a very young kid I used to love him in Maverick, and that show is still being shown on cable.

Founding, not funding.
