It's neat to see that the painting of the Statue of Liberty made it to Boston with them LOL

In the first picture you posted, if you look right above the dragon thingy sitting on the counter - right over Abby's left shoulder - you can see the
painting hanging on the wall in the background.

but this was just a poor goodbye for her
True, but Kerry also had a very poor goodbye, as well as Elizabeth, it isn't just Neela. But I agree, they could have handled it better. I didn't like this episode, it felt like a filler, not much going on. I hated the flashbacks, this is a very lazy job. Parminder is probably showing but they could have done properly. I guess the Roomies are happy, and I don't mind Neela ending with Ray. But it was messy, and it made me remember the first time Neela and Gates got together in the El when all I could think was what the %@#% is happening? Morris and Claudia are the beeeest part of the show. The kid playing Joe is so cute. They better give me a decent finale. We deserve it. And I'm still pissed of after BSG finale (I hate you, Ron). |

I wasn't that impressed with the cack handed way that Luka and Abby were reunited but I did at least have the rest of ther relationship to go on, and
some information about Abby's feelings
I agree. Neela was afflicted with an even more extreme version of the Invisible Lover Syndrome that plagued both Abby and Carol in their farewell arcs.(Alhough none as awful, of course, as Undead Denny on GA.) You just can't have a satisfying (to me) relationship story when only one of the partners is accounted for. However, fans who wanted to believe in a happy ending for Luby or Cardo (sorry, I just had to make up a silly coupled name after someone pointed out it had never been done) could look to the history--including children--that the couple had in common. If I'm not mistaken, the Roomies never even slept together and Ray seemed to want to cool the crush the last time he was in town . . . impossible to see how you leap from that good-bye to this conclusion, even with bionic legs.

Aha! I think Doug and Carol were Doucar actually.
I suppose it's possible that we will see more of Neela and Ray (oh joy) but I still can't see how she arrived at her decision. And yes, Ray's absence after their non relationship just means it's hard to care, for me at any rate.

I suggested to a friend that NBC ought to offer tee-shirts to longtime fans that read "I put up with 15 years of this sh-t and all I got was this lousy
tee-shirt." Yes, I'm grateful to the show for being a part of my life that often distracted from peripheral crap, but really, this is one heck of a
lousy send-off we've got going. The poll on NBC's site asking if this has been a proper final season for such a long-running show is overwhelmingly
"yes," and I want to know if they have it fixed or people are just stupid. Maybe both.
Not only did Ray and Neela ever get it on, but they have one throwaway kiss in their entire history. Not exactly a basis for a certain-thing relationship or moving to a hospital even lower on the food-chain than County. But then, I've always thought Neela was an idiot, so I guess this is par for the course. What gets me, though, is what all of you have said - Carol at least had a long history and a couple of kids linking her to Doug; Luka and Abby had a poorly-developed albeit concrete reconciliation on top of those things (oh, yeah, and a wedding); even Anna and Max had their relationship history. When you can't even top Anna and Max, that's a red flag that This Relationship Has No Basis. The Reelas officially beat the Carbies in far-fetched ideas. Heck, they beat the LuCars. |

I thought the notion of Neela's new hospital being second rate was just Dubenko's sniping and arrogance, but they made it pretty clear that Ray was a
big part of the decision. It's all or nothing with these guys. Maybe after years of having characters screwing like bunnies without a thought of birth
control they decided to give Neela and Ray some kind of superhuman self control.

It might be the fact that I need solid proof that if I'm going to change my life completely, I have to know for sure the outcome that makes me think this whole Neela goes to Ray thing is absolutely implausible. After a few nights of IMing each other and a cd box - along with what you guys said, the last time I saw him, Ray was waving her goodbye and not only literally-how could Neela be sure he really wanted her there? For good? This whole thing makes Carol realization really good writing (not saying anything about Luka's because we got a glimpse of what he was thinking about). |

I'm agreeing entirely with everyone about this episode.
The kid that plays Joe looks like one of Britney Spears' boys. Random. Also, Doucar and Cardo, lol. Maybe this is why Doug/Carol never got a name, since they didn't flow well. Dorol? Caug? Doca?

Still, it has been cute watching the Gonzales boys grow from infants to three year olds on the show...btw, their site credits that shot to Andrew, who also was
the first seen onscreen.

Rossaway?
Anybody got a cute shipper name for Morris and Claudia? God, I miss the days when spoilers would come out and there would be several things to chew over, and not all of them related to a ship. What was it you hated about the BSG finale, Obs? Other than the whole circular nature of the resolution, Brother Cavil's unresolved backstory and unexplained suicide, Gaius and Caprica ending up together, Chip Six turning out to be an angel, Lee and Starbuck's drunken conversation while Zack was passed out, the gratuitus Adama vomiting scene, Starbuck turning out to be an angel, the stupid scene where the Chief strangled Torrie and nobody even asked him a question about it...I admit I sort of liked the ending where they showed the cute robot video while the creepy music played, but other than that I was not impressed either. |

As for the roomies finish, I glanced at the NBC board, and it suddenly made sense--TPTB were catering to a very vocal shipper group. That has to be it, because, storywise, the hook=up made no sense. |
