On the other hand, the pace was what kept me glued to the TV.

My thoughts exactly. I liked the fact that it was fast-paced, but they had enough material for a mini-series. So cramming it all into 90 minutes of running time meant that some subplots inevitably got short-changed.

The scene in the railyard was the scene of the night for me. Goran's facial expression when Stefan was told to save himself, knowing everyone else was going to their deaths, amazing.

Glad to know I can still find you here sometimes. I liked "Courageous Heart" better than I thought I would. It had more tension and less treacle than the usual Hallmark production and held my interest even after I realized Goran's role would be smaller and less significant than I might have hoped. He had some nice moments, but the writing for his character was sketchy and he dropped in and out of the story far too conveniently.
